Research Interests:

I am interested in the development and application of derivative based analyses and dynamical systems within psychology. In developing these techniques, I interested in expanding methods to allow for the small, noisy time series that are common to much of psychology. In particular, I am interested in tools that will allow for intraindividual time series modeling prior to the modeling of interindividual differences. I have worked with range of applied topics including: the motion of individuals and dyads in dance and conversation, coupling of patients with rapid cycling bipolar disorder to weather, several projects on resiliency and affect in older adults, and the coupling of maternal depression with child behavior.
