Receive dept. guests, answer dept. phone,
oversee photocopying requests, check-out dept. keys, oversee campus
and federal mail, and oversee faxing, works with experimetrix.
Cathy O’Keefe
Administrative Specialist/Graduate Officer
Oversees Promotion, Tenure and Third Year review for the
department and maintain the faculty files. Oversees the receiving, recording, filing, and forwarding of
graduate admissions files. Oversees the correspondence for accepted,
denied, and alternate applicants as well as all requests for
graduate application materials and questions regarding graduate
programs in Psychology. Schedules thesis and dissertation defenses,
and oversees the completion of Do-All forms for the Graduate School.
Schedules 447 Fraser for defenses and other uses. Oversees the
thesis and dissertation library for the department, including
logging in all the new thesis and dissertations. Maintains graduate
student files for the Clinical, Social, Cognitive and Quantitative
programs.

Supervises Sec. to the Chair /Senior Administrative Assistant,
Administrative Specialist/Graduate Officer,
Undergraduate Program Specialist,
Dept. contact for Undergraduate Services, Assist Dr. Karpowitz with
undergraduate applications, Dept. contact for the completion of
major certifications, contact for faculty regarding advising
questions. Recruiting coordinator: Work under the direction of the
Search Committee chair, completing recruiting forms, creating
materials as needed, placing ad copies, creating candidate
schedules, and overseeing candidate reservations. Scheduling
officer: Work with Associate Chair, program directors, and faculty
to schedule classes for Lawrence and Edwards campuses, day-to-day
room scheduling requests, liaison to other departments with
cross-listed courses, contact for administratively dropping students
from courses, curricular changes/new course creations, Misc. Process
Dept. change of grade forms, “keeper” of the grade sheets, process
academic misconduct forms, College liaison for up dating dept.
contacts, info., etc., sign forms for late or dropped enrollment,
change of grades as requested, and grade sheets as requested.

Administrative
Support for Chairperson: Maintain calendar, arrange colloquia
and speaker's accommodations, record and distribute faculty
meeting minutes, process Endowment Fund thank you letters,
Recruiting Coordinator for faculty and unclassified academic
staff positions; prepare recruiting forms, provide guidance to
recruitment committee members, coordinates interviews including
meetings and accommodations, prepares and assembles all
promotion, tenure, and merit materials, third year reviews, and
sabbatical leave applications.
Administrative
Support for Faculty and Instructors: Prepare and process
materials for course and GTA evaluations each semester, process
change of grades, upkeep of grade sheets, incomplete cards, add
and drop cards, process curricular change forms.
Administrative
Support for Department: Prepare academic misconduct forms and
related materials, prepare exams from draft to finished copy,
prepare office hours each semester.
Tricia Zerger
Advising Specialist
Provide students with information about the major, coordinate
assignments of students to the appropriate faculty advisor, manage
the undergraduate application process, serve as contact for faculty
regarding advising questions, create and manage advising database to
monitor student progress through the department, and serve as
department liaison to the College Student Academic Services office,
the Freshman Sophomore Advising Center, and the University Career
Center.
